Our Laying The Language Foundation group offers a fun, interactive environment for babies ages 6 to 18 months and their caregivers to discover the joy of early communication. This group supports language development through songs, movement, play, and responsive interaction.
Why Group Therapy for Babies?
Language doesn’t just come from talking – it comes from connection. In this group, babies benefit from exposure to new sounds, people, and play routines. Parents gain confidence, strategies, and a warm community of other families navigating the same exciting stage of development.

What Happens in a Session?
Each 45-minute session includes:
- A welcome circle with songs and name games
- Language-rich play activities that build vocabulary, attention, and social engagement
- Parent coaching moments to help you confidently support language during play and routines at home
- A take-home tip sheet each week with easy ideas to keep the learning going
📅 What to Expect Each Week:
Week 1: Tuning In: Building connection through eye contact, turn-taking, and responsiveness
Week 2: Playing with Sounds: Encouraging babbling and vocal play
Week 3: Hands-On Communication: Using gestures and signs to support meaning
Week 4: Monkey See, Monkey Do: Imitation of actions, sounds, and facial expressions
Week 5: First Words First: How to support early vocabulary
Week 6: Say It Again: Why repetition is key for learning words
Week 7: Let’s Talk Together: Early conversation skills through back-and-forth play
Week 8: Your Language Toolbox: Using everyday moments to grow communication
